10 Signs A Girl Likes You

Picture this: you meet a pretty woman at the bar. You start chatting, and end up buying her three or four drinks. Then she gets up and leaves. No number, no hug, no kiss, you’re just left with a whole lot of shame.

There’s a big difference between being polite, and being interested. You can waste hours and dollars with a polite woman. Of course, there are also cheap women who will do anything for a free drink. You want to avoid both. Let me teach you how.

There are certain physical expressions that do not lie. The next time you’re chatting with a woman and struggling to decipher whether or not she’s interested, here are 10 subtle physical cues that will reveal whether or not she’s into you.

1. Her Feet

What she does with her feet is almost entirely subconscious and will reveal her inner thoughts and feelings. Body language experts say to look at the direction of a woman’s feet in order to tell if she’s interested.

Her feet will point in the direction she subconsciously wants to go. If you’re standing and chatting, and she has her toes pointed toward you, that’s a good sign. If she has them pointed away, or pointed toward the exit, that’s exactly where she’s wanting to head.

2. Her Hair

When she starts twirling her hair with her fingers, things are looking good for you. One of the basic tell-tale signs that a woman is flirting is when she starts playing with her hair. What she’s subconsciously doing is bringing attention to her face. It’s an alluring behavior known as “preening,” telling you that there is sexual interest.

3. Her Eyes

 Here’s a eye-tracking technique investigators use for detecting deceit. If the woman you’re talking with is constantly looking to your left (her right) when answering your questions, she’s in a state of “constructing information,” which is strongly associated with lying. Looking to your right (her left) means she’s “recalling information” which is associated with telling the truth. Women who are attracted to you will let their guard down will be honest in their responses.

Also, Increased blink-rate (more than 10 blinks per minute) is a strong indicator that she’s into  you. Blink-rate spikes are a result of people emotionally excited and turned on.

4. Her Hands

A woman’s heart-rate will increase if she’s interested in you. Her nervous excitement will cause her hands to become a fidgety. Slow, relaxed and controlled movements, like stroking the stem of a wine glass, or running her finger along the rim, tells you she’s interested, and likely getting aroused.

5. Revealing Her Neck

If you notice her pulling her hair back to reveal her neck, things are going well for you. There’s an interesting reason for this: body language expert Vanessa Van Edwards explains that “women toss their hair or touch their neck when flirting because it exposes the armpit, which releases sex hormones.”

6. Her Wrists

I know this sounds unusual, but when a woman is interested, she will touch her wrists, bring attention to it, or hold it limply. The skin on around the wrist area is sensitive and delicate, and is considered an erogenous zone — an arousing area just like the neck.

It’s also an act of submission. If she desires you, she’ll subconsciously display acts of submissiveness to allow you, as the man, to feel dominant. The limp wrist, and exposed wrist are submissive cues.

7. Her Lips

Another highly erogenous zone —which women touch when they’re aroused — is her lips. If you notice her biting her bottom lip, she’s definitely into you. Also, if she’s pursing her lips, moistening them with her tongue, or touching them with her fingers, these are strong cues of sexual attraction.

8. Proximity

If she’s not into you, she’ll keep her distance. However, if she is attracted to you, she’ll let her guard down, and allow you to slowly move closer. Be careful with this — if you start moving in too soon, even if she’s initially attracted to you, this can set off her creeper alarm and turn her cold. Wait for other physical cues before moving closer.

9. Isolation

Women will always use her friends as an excuse to get away from a guy. So if she’s out with a group of friends, yet she’s comfortable being alone with you, that’s a great sign to keep moving things along. And a perfect time to apply some “escalation techniques” (I’ll write more on this later!)

10. She “Mirrors” You

Mirroring is the subconscious and unintentional act of mimicking another person’s body language. It happens between people who like each other. Salespeople strategically use mirroring to create rapport.

Dancing is the ultimate form of mirroring, but there are cues that lead-up to this. If she starts to copy your body movements — crosses her legs as you cross yours, or leans over to the same side as you, it means she’s attracted and enjoys being in your company.

A word of warning: don’t interpret any of these behaviors in isolation! Or get too excited after a one-time occurrence. Rather, see them in context. Look for a pattern or combination of these behaviors being demonstrated before making any significant moves or decisions.
